2023 marks the 150th anniversary of the entry into heaven of Blessed Basile Moreau (1799-1873), founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross. To celebrate the event, the archives and museums of the Congregation of Holy Cross in Montreal present a wide selection of treasures from their reserves. These archival documents, photographs, exhibits and works of art illustrate Father Moreau's legacy in Canada, the theme of this virtual exhibition.
The fathers, brothers and sisters of the Congregation of Holy Cross have marked Quebec and part of Canadian society since 1847. Browse the exhibition sections to find out more about this heritage, or explore the various items using keywords!
